2nd LINK TEAM DAYS 30th September – 1st October 2011

September 30 and October 1, saw the 2nd Neoss International LINK Team Days held in Stresa, on the beautiful Lake Maggiore, Italy. The meeting, which attracted more than 400 delegates, was held at the Regina Palace Grand Hotel.
The meeting was opened formally by Michael J Dormer, Chairman & CEO of Neoss, welcoming the delegates and describing the company's rapid expansion over the last ten years, its dedication to the customer to “Improving the Science of Dental Implant Treatment” and to product innovation. Mr Dormer further emphasized the importance of ethical practice within the dental implant industry.
Professor Neil Meredith went on to introduce innovative new products including the Tapered Implant, which is currently under development. This new Implant will be designed and manufactured with the ProActive surface, which was introduced to the market with the Neoss ProActive Implant. Professor Meredith, outlined how this highly innovative implant surface has performed since its introduction and in Scientific studies how it has outperformed Neoss’ competitor’s products in demonstrating increased levels of implant stability, in particular during the first six weeks following placement.
Neoss was pleased to attract 16 internationally renowned speakers to lecture at this event, presenting on a wide range of clinical, academic and scientific issues. Professor Lars Sennerby and Professor Neil Meredith chaired the conference. All the speakers at the meeting gave us a wealth of clinical material and information, demonstrating the outstanding versatility, simplicity and performance of the Neoss System. Prof. Lars Sennerby presented a lecture with an overview of the published and previously unpublished data on the long-term clinical follow-up of the Neoss Implant System over a period of years: this showed high success rates.
Overall everybody was very pleased with the quality of the presentations and the organization of the LINK Team Days event. Given the success of this event and the feedback already received Neoss looks forward to organizing its 3rd International LINK Team Days event in the future. It goes without saying that the social events including a journey on the Lake Maggiore and an outstanding evening in a lovely Restaurant, on Isola Bella, completed what was already a very successful event.
