This course is aimed at those clinicians who place and restore dental implants and would like to deepen their knowledge and extend their practical skills. Focusing on restorative based treatments the participants will be guided through the process of patient selection, site selection and surgical placement based on the prosthetic requirements to achieve both a functional and aesthetic outcome.
Thursday evening - Provides the fundamentals in case selection, implant placement covering assessment and drilling protocols as well as hands-on implant placement into plastic bone. Clinicians who have a full understanding of these aspects and feel they don’t need a refresher course or surgical placement may proceed with phase 2 where this knowledge is assumed.
Friday & Saturday - The two day cadaver course will cover all major aspects of surgical implant placement including site preparation, grafting techniques, immediate placement & loading, handling the soft tissue & emergence profiles and suturing techniques. The course is held in a purpose developed laboratory for working with cadavers and has high technology workstations.
