This three part course will involve participants in every step of the process for the successful treatment of live dental implant patients. They will also be involved in the treatment planning, 1st & 2nd stage surgical procedures, impressions and the final insert. The program will be held in Maleny, the beautiful hinterland of the Sunshine Coast, Queensland.
Course Part 1
Friday July 9th - The first session starts with a lecture presentation, treatment planning for success, risk management and a hands on examination of the patients.
Saturday July 10th - The second day will be full day hands on Implant placements on patients. In addition there will be presentations on implant surgery and techniques.
Course Part 2
Friday November 12th - The third day will cover a variety of second stage surgical techniques, second stage surgeries and discussions.
Saturday November 13th - The fourth session will continue with hands on second stage surgery and then move on to a lecture on impression taking and digital scanning, abutment selection and prosthesis design. There will also be an opportunity to review cases participants have brought.
Course Part 3
Friday December 10th - The fifth day covers impression techniques, open or closed tray. The choice of material, attaching analogues and splinting impression copings accurately and impression taking on patients for the implant prostheses.
Saturday December 11th - The final session covers the final insertion of the prostheses and finishes with a presentation on maintenance, complications and occlusion.
