Sydney Oral Anatomy Course

The aim of this course is to enhance the general anatomical knowledge for dentists who wish to perform minor oral surgery and provide advanced local anaesthesia techniques. 20 participants will be provided with 10 full Cephalus specimens.

Course Outline

Dissection from Skin to Deep Tissue

• Temporalis
• Parotid gland
• Submandibular triangle
• Anterior neck
• Facial artery
• Infratemporal fossa

Revision of Bone Anatomy including:

• Cranial fossa
• Cephalometrics
• Air sinuses
• Cavernous sinus and facial infections
• Nasal cavity

Intraoral Dissection

• Floor of the mouth
• Inferior alveolar nerve
• Lingual nerve
• Maxillary nerve branches

Anatomy of Local Anaesthetic

• High mandibular block
