This evening we will meet at 1930hrs for a presentation and introduction
by our speakers and we’ll discuss plans for our Ramble! 1930 - 2130hrs.
Today begins at 0745hrs with the Toolona Creek hike past waterfalls and sub-tropical rainforest trees
decked with lush tree gardens. Views to the sea as far South as Byron Bay, Mount Warning and
glimpses of Point Lookout on Stradbroke Island. All this while “Talking the Walk” with the 4 speakers.
Hikers will be rotated with all speakers throughout the day. 17.4km returning around 1600hrs. Packed
lunch provided - but you carry your own!
Too long perhaps… no worries you can cross over to the Box Forrest circuit and be back at the ‘spa’
by lunch - that hike is 10.9 km.
After the hike there'll be plenty of time to refresh or relax in the spa before dinner and a short lecture
and recap of the day. (1730 - 2000).
Following this it’s time for the ’Avatar’ experience on our private Glow Worm tour - a guided ancient
rainforest tour to the mystical Glow Worm grotto - home to millions of ancient Glow Worms,
illuminating the cliff face in a blanket of twinkling stars. Return to the hotel for a well earned rest!
Your registration includes:
Friday 25th: Meet & Greet (optional); Lecture (2hr) & Supper
Saturday 26th: Talk the Walk with packed lunch/ Lecture (1.5hr) / Dinner & Glow Worm Tour.
